Website now in French, a new colleague and the ACTE Education Forum in Geneva

TravelBrain services now also available in French It’s taken a while, but now our website is up and running in French. Our golive for the new language version was at the beginning of the week. Naturally, you will probably still find a couple of small mistakes, some text portions that are not yet translated or some sentences that could be more elegantly expressed. From now on, all our blog entries will also be made available in all languages. I am happy and proud that we can now offer our services in a further language. If you do encounter mistakes

The Event – Swiss Travel Management Forum 7 September 2017

This last week was very busy. Once again, I was invited to help mold the content for the summit that was held in The Sheraton, Zurich. And two days prior to the STMF, we with expenseBrain and my colleague Michael Zwickl had already appeared at the Finass Business Travel Workshop in Zurich’s World Trade Center. But of course there is always the same excitement to meet so many collegues from Travel Management and Suppliers. For the second time, the occasion was moderated by Traveltip and the patronage of the VDR, by Stefan Jäggi and Willy Schnyder – and they

Our collegue Michael Zwickl also joined the folks on stage. Daniel Wittwer once again managed to engage and excite the participants. For several years, the event was held at the SIX Convention Point in Zurich. In the meantime, SIX has moved to the Hardturm area and their old building is being

Marco is moving on – or when offers are irresistible

After a short but pretty intense time as freelancer for travelBrain Marco Zweifel has decided to accept a new challenge at Travelport Switzerland. In his new role as Head Account Management he will be the new No. 2 in Dieter Rumpel’s organisation. A short sprint at travelBrain seems to be good enough to attract interest within the travel tech industry. With Ercument Aydin at Amadeus and Daniel Grenacher at Sabre two of our former colleagues have already made such a move. I am glad to see that our name helps – however, I certainly had preferred to keep Marco

The Event – ACTE Education Forum Zurich – 11 May 2017

It has now been a few days ago since we took part in the ACTE Education Forum at the Park Hyatt Zürich on May 11th 2017. ACTE invited folks to an open discussion on digitization in the Travel Industry and its effect on Travel Management under the banner question “Are you digital?”. An exciting forum with a good mix of travel managers and Travel Industry suppliers and an event that involved more preparation time in advance than usual. Things don’t always turn out as expected…. ACTE, like other event organizers, has changed how these events are structured and kicked

ACTE Education Forum – 11 May 2017 in Zurich

Plans are apparently there to change. When I registered for this years ACTE Education Forum in Zurich on 11 May 2017 held in the Parky Hyatt Zurich I was expecting a relaxing afternoon with interesting topics and great discussons. The sessions announced on Digital Transformation and Hotel Sourcing were very promising. Only that my idea of having a quiet day later this week have changed dramatically. Which means that I will now be moderating two panel disucssions on the above subjects.    ACTE Education Forum – “Are you Digital” As seen in other such events on Corporate Travel, the
